The Leeward Coast Delivery!

We arrived at the break of dawn at our meeting place in Maile. PK, my brother-in-law Rick, my boss Pauline, co-worker Jacque, Military Couple Vonnie and James. Although Lomi wasn't with us, he played a big part in this year's delivery. And my dear readers, I don't know what became of the pictures. I don't make excuses. What I will do is tell you of the delivery.

From the end of the Leeward Coast we began. Rick our messenger going out into the camps and letting the people know we were there. One by one they came out. Some expected us on Saturday and scolded us for not coming. LOL They stood in line patiently by the truck and waited their turns as we distributed the Scotts Slippahs and also the Shirts for the men. One Local Man tore the wrapping from the package of the shirt and put the shirt on and said "Wat...I look handsome now?" And he stood proud with his chest out and walked away smiling.

At another site down the road, a man with one leg came up to me. "Auntie, Auntie, remember me?" How could I forget. I looked down at his right foot and saw the green worn slippah from last year. I smiled and got a Scotts and gave him a honi honi and told him I'd be back next year!

The tents were many. Children less which is great. The restrooms which were pilau and unfit for human use is all fixed. Really. It was the first thing I checked. And used. It was CLEANED.

Yes, it is dangerous to go out as we do. Anything can happen. Which is why, Love and ALOHA must ALWAYS BE SHOWN!! We are not there to judge or to say anything that can hurt anyone's feelings.

To see faces light up is what it's all about.

Our mission is not through. It's far from being over.

Christmas Celebration at MWH - Report. :)

Betta late den neva. ha ha ha

Ok....here we go.

On December 21, 2009

We went to Mayor Wright Housing.

The Hot Dogs, Chile, Cheese, Buns, Snacks, Jalepenos, were donated by Sharon Black and KauKau Wagon Foundation.

This year we coordinated the Christmas Celebration with the Mayor Wright Housing Tenant Association and Family Literacy Program. Over six-hundred received ukapila stuffed animals, videos, books, toys, and slippahs.

Our volunteers included Securitas Employees, Pauline Young, Jacque De Fretias, Tana Toetu and myself. Military Spouse, Vonnie. And my Hanai Son, Lomi. Tenants of MWH volunteered as well.

The line was L O N G. It streched from the one end of the building into the Tenant Association Office out the back. Christmas Music filled the air. Everyone was happy from little ones to the elderly. Seeing my fellow neighbors once again brought memories of time gone by. Here I was again...bringing Slippahs to them. This is where it started, Five years ago.

I walked with my supervisor and the big bosses to the front. A vendor was disputing what I reported. Instructed not to say anything but listen. And so I did. The facts were given.

Right smack in the middle of ukapila people walking by and vendors looking on, we all stood where the incident occurred. Suddenly, the large man pointed his fingers to me and yelled at the top of his lungs, "You LIAR!!! You CRAZY!!!" I looked at him and smiled.

In my head, I thought..."Why do I need dis three small wahines to protect me?" I quickly realized because they're my bosses. And if I let loose what wanted to come out in me...The Beast. I would make chop suey outta the SOB.

But I remained calm even when he continued yelling.

Cause even if he denied. I had witnesses!

I hate dentists. I've been through this dilemma before.

The same tooth is hurting me again. I want to have it yanked out but the dentist keeps saying it needs a root canal. Problem is, insurance. PK's $1,000 up front. Mine was somehow not turned in. I kept saying I needed Dental Insurance but nothing was done. I wake up this morning, and my left cheek is swollen, my tooth is sore and shua enough it has an abscess. Lucky, I have Amoxicillin. My insurance doesn't get into effect till August 1st!

Am I angry.

Very.

And in PAIN.

Nuff said.

They've grown into productive and caring adults. My children. I am so proud of them.

Conrad is leaving again. This time to Kentucky. Not to war...ever again. He did his time. Now it's his duty to teach soldiers to be soldiers. He just became an E-7. Congratulations son.

Christy will be coming home soon. And my pimples and rashes will cease. heheheh

Den Justin Hartman and Justin Dela Cerna will come too.

Everything will be Pono again.

Time.

I really believe I am one of God's favorites.

Last week, I faced a man with a knife and another man punched his fist at me. I wasn't hurt. I used my training and got out of danger.

God gave me Time.

There are no Whacks Whacks in Real Life.

I not kidding. I ain't no Hero. I want to live to see my children and grand-children. I want to continue to better my community the best I know how. I have a new project in the making. Imi Pono o Kalihi. Strive to be righteous! It is fashioned after the Scared Straight Program. It will be launched soon.

Time.

When it our time to go....we have no say.

I am ready. When and if it's my TIME.

Take Your Freaken Pills!

I am a Twitter.com member. I enjoy putting 140 characters into a sentence and sharing it with those I choose. That's the beauty of Twitter. We choose our Twitter Friends and we also can block, protect our posts from being seen and copied from whomever we don't want it to be seen by....we hope. We can at any time "un-follow" anyone. Such be the case I did the other day.

Why?

Because I was tired of the person whining and bitching.

Simple.

Den the person sends me an email in bold telling me to take my FREAKEN MEDICATIONS!

All I wanted was to eliminate the bitching and whining from my screen. It is my prerogative. It doesn't mean I'm not her friend. I adore da bitch. Well, not now. Guess she thinks otherwise. Ainokea. I'm not gonna stop being who I am. And that is expressing myself by telling it like it is. Period.

Know me or not...I'll be there from the start if you should need my help. Ask anyone. Das how I am. Have a Beef with me? Go eat a Hamburger. I have no time to fight.

Da Battle In Waikiki

Year after year, the vendors took the abuse of the music from the steel drum players and their friends. The music played so loud their ears would hurt. They grumbled amongst each other because they felt no one cared. No one could help them. And so it was...until last night.

The music was monitored and HPD was called. The Vendors came together, unafraid and wrote their Statements individually and stood together in unison. Their voices as One. It is a Battle between the Vendors and The Steel Drum Performers.

The Vendors pays big bucks to rent their kiosks and spaces to sell their products and merchandise. They work seven days a week, 12-14 hours a day. To have to put up with Street Musicians who have no respect for their businesses is not right. Something must be done. The Street Performers are claiming 1st Amendment Rights. What they need is Whack Whacks. Don't get me wrong. I love music and I know what is a good beat. These bozos do not play music.

K-den. I getting hungry so come back. I'll write moa about it laterz.

Might get moa action tonight.

The humid air and heat ever present as I made my patrol. Waikiki. Tourists from all over the world visiting and having FuN. Suddenly, amongst the crowd, I see and hear a Caucasian male in his early twenties screaming and smashing ice cubes on the ground. He runs towards the alley. I pursue and call for back-up. It is only him and I. The man turns and says "I going kill somebody!" His eyes are like those of a Demon. I radio my fellow officers what he said and ask permission to crossover to assist. It is granted. We observe and then HPD arrives within minutes to apprehend the suspect.

The man is a Marine.

He was angry because the Parrot man followed him and he was irritated....he is Bi-Polar. He didn't take his medications.

A Trespass is issued. Unable to be on Kuhio and Kalakaua for One Year.

The moral of this Story. He made me work hard last night, the fucking dummy. He neba take his freaking PILLS!

Love and ALOHA,
