We're MOVING!

We had an unexpecting visitor yesterday.

Charlie-Boy.

He was raised by my sister since he was six months old. Due to his truancy problem, he was put into a controlled environment till he became an adult.

He's eighteen years old now.

Charlie is a Special Person.

He needs medication to keep him balanced and calm. When he became eighteen, his case was closed. However, it was transfered to another agency. He went to live with his biological sister. One night, without warning, he was told to move out.

He did and survived the streets for three days.

Alas, all his things were stolen.

My sister had another Foster Child who is also an adult now go look for Charlie. Miracles do happen when you have faith. He was found and she came to my hale. She took Christy and me to Charlie. Upon seeing him, we embraced him and told him to come home with us. Christy talked to him about the dangers of the streets. Drugs, Gangs, and the reality of what can happen. I told him "You will never be HOMELESS!" He ate and slept well.

I went to the office and submitted a request for Charlie. Unfortunately, the rules and regulations are strict. Charlie can stay with me only for two weeks. I made a promise to Charlie. And I also made a promise to my fellow residents that I will continue to reside at MWH even if I get elected in Office. Well, this is now. Charlie needs a home.

We'll be searching for a hale in my district!

Things happen for a reason.

The Lord speaks to my heart and soul.

Love and ALOHA,

Looking Through The Eyes Of Love

Please, don't let this feeling end
It's everything I am,
Everything I wanna be;
I can see what's mine now
Finding out what's true,
Since I've found you
Lookin' through the eyes of love.
Now I can take the time,
I can see my life
As it comes up shining now;
Reachin' out to touch you,
I can feel so much,
Since I've found you
Lookin' through the eyes of love.
REFRAIN:
And now, I do believe,
That even in a storm, we'll find some light;
Knowin' you're beside me, I'm alright.
Please don't let this feelin end,
It might not come again;
And I want to remember
How it feels to touch you;
How I feel so much,
Since I've found you
Lookin' through the eyes of love.

The Ugliness Has Begun...

MAMA is doing fine and excited about my wedding and the upcoming campaign. My parents were very active many years ago. She knows the drill and cautioned me about the pros and cons of running. Yes, the ugliness of the naysayers. I told her "It's all in my Blog...I have nothing to hide." She answered "Go for it. What will be..will be...for the people!"

In The Advertiser today, Peter Boylan wrote an article.

Readers posted comments.

I read with interest and shook my head and told MAMA and P.K. "It has begun!"

I never swore at any Police Officer at the NB Meetings or anywhere. In fact, I have written several stories about the Chinatown Sub-Station. My youngest daughter and two nephews are HPD Officers as well as many of my friends. I am involved with the Weed and Seed Clean-up like Mr. Cachola. It is on record on the NB Minutes of my many praises of both the Kalihi and District I Police Sub-Stations.

It will get uglier and I am ready for it.

My Blog will be left in it's entirety. For to block it, would be like hiding something. It is who I am. If I had to do it all over again...I would.

God knows my heart and only he knows my destiny.

I am not afraid.

Nothing fancy just something simple just like PK and me.

We didn't realize our wedding was on Father's Day!

Anyways, I'm slowly preparing when I'm suppose to be rushing about. I'm a cook. No pilikia when it comes to parties. All I need is one day preparations. As for my hale...I waiting foa my daughters to take action.

P.K. and I are excited as can be. But we're makule so we go at a different pace. We've been there, done dat so to speak. We know the in's and out's of what makes a relationship work. Most of all, we put God first because we know by putting him first...everything else falls into place.

Remember couple a months ago, I wrote how Satan was attacking us? We were in so much pilikia. financially and every which way you could think of. One Saturday morning, some church people from Word of Life came to our yard and started to clean and cut our grass. P.K. and I came outside and talked with them. The rest is history.

Yes. We started to go to WOL. Every Sunday, we listened to Pastor's sermon about Marriage. We laughed and it was as if he was speaking to only us. One Sunday, Pastor talked about a Widow giving her last money for tithes and offering. That day I wrote a check knowing I didn't have funds to cover it. After service I saw Pastor Fika and told him what I did because I, too was like that widow. He had just received a twenty dollar bill and was trying to put it in my hand. I refused. I looked into his eyes and said "I don't want it...the Lord will see me through."

The following day when I went to the bank, I put in my card in the ATM machine. I had forty-eight dollars! I didn't know how I got it or where it came from. It was just there. Call it what you will...I'm not good at math anyways. To me it was the Lord.

The energy and excitement is still in my body from head to toe. heheheh

Politics.

I just want to help my community...Hawai`i. My readers know my passions. My readers know all about me.

I hide nothing and I will continue to speak from my heart and soul.

For several nights, I asked the God I know to guide my heart and lead me to what I should do....he told me.

I went to Honolulu Hale this morning.

I'm fifty-two years old. I've never gone past the first floor. All I wanted was to take my application of nomination papers to run for City Council. I was told to go to the third floor. I went from office to office. Den I was shown the correct place on the first floor. Submitted my application den was told to wait while they checked my background and information. I left and came back. Faith gave me my packet and instructed me to get fifteen signatures or more of my fellow registered voters from my district. I also have to read the information from the Campaign Spending Commission.

Everyone was helpful and friendly!

This time it will be different...Justin leaves in October and Christy leaves in January.

We are the forgotten ones.

There are no ribbons, certificates or awards for us.

We don't want it.

Just give us back our children.

My strength comes from God and he alone.

I shall focus on making my community a better and safer place to live, bringing hope and love to everyone I meet.

My Slippah Project is in it's forth year this December. I dedicate it to my children and grand-children.
