Let the magic of Christmas begin….;)

This is our 5th year since we started the Slippah Project.  Last year, we became a Foundation.  We are small compared to other Non Profits.  We don’t have an office, employees, or any fancy stuff.  All our donations goes to our Keiki and their Ohana.

When we started, it was just slippahs for the children.  As the years increased, we gave slippahs for the adults too.  Also toys, can goods, clothes and one time we gave two pallets of cabbages from the Food Bank.  The Christmas Celebration at Mayor Wright Homes became an Annual Event bringing joy and good cheer to the residents and the children.  This year will be be held on Dec. 22, 2010 and sponsored by Kaukau Wagon as it has been since we started.

Hopefully, we’ll have enough funds to give to all the keiki this year as we did in 2008.  One of regular Santa’s Helper went to heaven.  And many of the others have closed shop.  It’s tough out there.  But I believe….that the magic of Christmas will come through for the forgotton ones this year.

The forgotton children.

Please kokua.
