MAMA’S BODYGUARD!

My MAMA Got Wheels!

I’m here at Dialysis as a Body Guard for MAMA .  She was threaten the other day by a woman in the waiting room.  She was walauing with four other patients.  The woman shouted from the other side of the room and said “What are you talking about?”  They all turned to look at her.  Then the woman shouted and said “Yeah, my phone and text messages said you are the one talking about me!!”  She was reffering to MAMA!!  She threatened her to watch out cause she knows people.

A report was made of the incident.  I am here this morning.  In fact, I am sitting right in front of the woman as I type.  I’ve looked at her several times and smiled.  She doesn’t look like a danger or someone to cause harm.  She’s  quite silent today.  Or am I intimidating, typing in front of her?  I think not.  She’s the interpreter for the Micronesians.  She is the spouse of a patient.  Maybe she is stressed out?  I know all to well how hard it can be of taking care of loved one who is ill.  Especially, one who is in Hospice Status.  Respite care is available for those who take care of the afflicted.  Social Services should be on top of things like these but are often not because of cuts from services.

Four hours after:  My observations are as follows:  Patients needs to be considerate of other patients in the room.  Other patients and guests were complaining they couldn’t hear the t.v. due to loud conversations by other patients.  There used to have an employee in the room monitoring the patients and letting them know when it was their turn to go into treatment.  I observed several patients in wheelchairs having a difficult time going in the restroom.  An accident ready to happen.  I observed splattered urine on the toilet seat and cleaned it up.  These patients are on borrowed time.  They deserve to be going to a clean and safe facility at all times.  Mahalo,  Auntie P.  ;)
